About Ron Kovarski
Ron Kovarski is a veteran technology journalist with over a decade of experience covering the intersection of innovation, industry trends, and digital culture. Currently a senior writer at TechSight Weekly, Ron specializes in deep-dive features, startup profiles, and investigative reporting on emerging technologies, including AI, cybersecurity, and consumer electronics. Ron began his journalism career after earning a degree in Communications and Media Studies from Northwestern University. His early work appeared in regional tech blogs before he joined The Circuit Times, where he covered Silicon Valley startups and venture capital shifts during the rise of cloud computing. His reporting has taken him from private hardware labs in Taiwan to open-source summits in Berlin. A frequent contributor to major outlets like Wired, The Verge, and Fast Company, Ron is known for blending technical accuracy with human-centered storytelling. His 2021 long-form report on algorithmic bias in facial recognition software was shortlisted for the National Magazine Awards. When he’s not chasing a scoop or moderating a panel at CES, Ron writes a personal Substack called "Compiled and Wired", where he breaks down tech myths, reviews gadgets with brutal honesty, and shares behind-the-scenes notes from the tech media world. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his dog Turing and an ever-growing collection of vintage keyboards.
